Got books? Give them a second life — and help support our school at the same time!

The RPPS Book Fair depends entirely on donated books from families, friends, and community members. Every book you give helps us raise funds that go directly back into classrooms, programs, and student life at RPPS.

Whether you are downsizing, moving, or just creating space on your shelves for new stories, your donated books help us raise funds, promote literacy, and build community at RPPS and beyond.

WHAT TO DONATE

Book Fair gratefully accepts donations of gently used adult and children’s books, as well as vinyl records, DVDs and CDs. We do emphasize “gently used”: as a general rule, if you wouldn’t buy it in its current condition, we can’t sell it.

Green

yes, please; if it’s in good condition:

  • Adults, teen and children’s books, fiction and non-fiction
  • French books or foreign languages
  • Comic books, manga and graphic novels
  • Sheet music
  • Vinyl records
  • DVDs
  • CDs

Yellow

only in certain cases:

  • Magazines – only prestige magazines or collector’s editions in pristine condition
  • Children’s magazines, workbooks and activity books – must not be written or drawn in
  • Travel guides –must be less than five years old
  • Reference books – no English dictionaries, phone or address directories, encyclopedias
  • Puzzles and board games – must be INTACT and in very good shape

Red

LARGE DONATIONS

If you can’t make one of our scheduled drop-offs or have a particularly large donation, contact us to make alternative arrangements.

Please do not leave donations by the locked bins near the school’s front doors or at any of the school doors.

Books left outside can be a hazard, get damaged by weather, and create additional work for volunteers or school custodial staff. We appreciate your patience and cooperation!

Love to bake? Your cookies, muffins, and sweet treats can help fuel the Book Fair — and raise extra funds for the school!

Our café is a cozy corner of the fair where families, volunteers, and shoppers can grab a snack and take a break. All proceeds go toward RPPS programs, and your baked goods make it special.
