Paradise Lost – 1783 – Valued at $600

On a tip from former RPPS parent and uOttawa English Professor Nicholas von Maltzahn, Book Fair Communications Coordinator Adrienne Blair reached out to Western University – via Twitter.

A few direct messages and emails later, the university library archives agreed to purchase the rare volume  for the asking price of $600 – plus shipping, of course. The 232-year-old book will be added to The G. William Stuart Jr. Collection of Milton & Miltoniana at Western University’s Archives and Research Collections Centre in London, ON.

That’s what we call #winwin.

Rockcliffe Park Book Fair is in need of new volunteers!

Rockcliffe Park Book Fair is in need of some new volunteers.  November may seem like a long way, away but we have tons to do from now until then. We currently have an urgent need for Book Bin Volunteers.

Book Fair is RPPS Parent Council’s main school fundraiser.  It takes place the first full weekend of every November. We work on Book Fair all year long.  Our book donation bins open up March 1st and we have a lot of things to do from now until November.

Please consider being a Book Fair volunteer and sending your contact information to Book Fair’s Volunteer Coordinator. You can sign up by clicking on the image below.

From time to time we will send out a request for volunteers as well as Book Fair meeting notifications.

Thank you! We can’t do it without your help!
